Ribbon Cutting Herblock cartoon exhibit


Three-time Pulitzer Prize winning editorial cartoonist Herbert Block (1909 - 2001), better known as Herblock, chronicled the Civil Rights era in the United States.
 
"The Long March: Herblock & the Civil Rights Era,” an exhibition of his work sponsored by Montcross Area Chamber member Elements of Empowerment, opens Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Gaston County Public Library at 1555 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC. A Chamber ribbon cutting is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
 
The public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting and to visit the exhibit, which will be open through Feb. 28, 2019. For more information on the ribbon cutting and the exhibit, visit www.montcrossareachamber.com.
